Honorary Co-Chairs Julianna Margulies & Keith Lieberthal, Julie & Paul Rudd and Brooke Shields & Chris Henchy invite you to Save the Date for the Children’s Museum of the Arts’ Spring Benefit 2012. This exciting event raises crucial funds to support expanding capacity at the museum.
Curious about how to collect art? Interested in discovering new artists? Join us as we visit three contemporary art galleries in the Lower East Side and learn about emerging artists from a wide variety of disciplines and backgrounds, through intimate tours led by each gallery’s director.
“Music from Mt. Pom Pom” is an interactive event for ages 5 & up. Gain hands-on experience in composing music for small chamber ensembles. Inspired by CMA’s current exhibit, Love From Mt. Pom Pom, you’re invited to create new music and graphical scores to accompany the visual art on display in the exhibit!

The members of J-Hoon, a youth dance and music ensemble from New York City,will perform classical Kurdish songs and dance derived from the vibrant and joyous culture of the Kurds of Western Iran.
The day will feature jig lessons, mythical animations, storytelling, knitting workshops and much more!

The featured guest artist for the Caribbean Festival will be master Haitian drummer Gaston Jean-Baptiste, known as Bonga, and his drum and dance troupe. The day will also feature drumming workshops, an exploration of mask-making traditions, storytelling, and more. Support for this program provided by the National Endowment for the Arts.
Join CMA to celebrate Mardi Gras and the 25th anniversary of New York’s legendary Two Boots Pizzeria. Create your own masks, noisemakers & floats and join us for a 4PM Arty Gras parade led by the Raya Brass Band. The day will also feature a special pizza party from Two Boots.
The Chinese Theater Works will perform “Tiger Tales”, a shadow puppet show and the day will be capped off by a special performance of the Chinese Lion Dancers of PS124! Support for this program provided by the National Endowment for the Arts.
