Classes

CMA offers a wide range of age-appropriate classes in both media-making and fine art mediums. Taught by our team of professional teaching artists, these courses will encourage your young artist to express their creativity while developing a technical skill set.

WEE Arts

Ages 0 to 5

WEE Arts

Designed for children under 5 years old, WEE Arts classes develop a young child’s familiarity with art making and encourage experimentation, exploration, and creative thinking.

After School

Ages 5 to 12

After School

For young artists ages 5 to 15, these classes are designed to teach and build upon age-appropriate art-making skills while encouraging creative and imaginative expression.

@5 Teen Program

Ages 13 to 15

@5 Teen Program

For young artists ages 13 to 15, these classes offer advanced arts instruction led by experienced teaching artists.

Art Colony

Ages 6 to 15

Art Colony

Art Colony is CMA’s day camp program that allows children to immerse themselves in week-long innovative arts courses. Take a class at our Charlton Street location or on Governors Island.

Private & Small Group Lessons

Ages 5 to 15

Private & Small Group Lessons

CMA now offers private and small group lessons for artists interested in further developing skills, working on a special project, or fulfilling a portfolio requirement.

Art In Focus

Ages 8 to 15

Art In Focus

Art in Focus is a two-hour weekend drop off art session for ages 8-15, and features a different topic each week.
