Art Colony day camp at 103 Charlton allows campers to immerse themselves in week-long innovative arts courses, while exploring our professional equipment and state-of-the-art facilities.

Schedule

9-10 AM
DROP OFF: All campers must check in at the front desk between 9-10 AM and then be escorted by parents to the classroom for drop off/sign in. Campers will have one hour of open art activities before class begins.
10 AM - 4 PM
CLASS: Art class runs from 10 AM - 4 PM with an hour lunch break at 12 PM, with supervised outdoor play at a local playground (weather permitting). Campers must bring lunch and snacks. A refrigerator is available for storing lunch.
4-5 PM
PICK UP: Parents check in at the front desk before picking up/signing out campers in their classrooms. Campers will have one hour of open art activities after class ends.

Fees (unless otherwise indicated)

$595

Refund Policy: CMA is not responsible for providing make-up classes or issuing refunds for programs missed as a result of illness, emergencies or other events beyond our control. If you would like to cancel your enrollment in a class, CMA will provide you with a full refund minus a $75 registration fee up to two weeks prior to the start of class. Within two weeks of the start of the class, CMA will provide you with a full refund minus the $75 registration fee ONLY if CMA is able to fill your child’s place in the class. If CMA is unable to fill the place in the class, the class will be non-refundable.

Cancellation: CMA reserves the right to cancel any class due to low enrollment. If a class has 0 students enrolled, you will be notified of the cancellation 4 weeks prior to the start of the class. If a class has only 3 students and under enrolled, you will be notified of the cancellation 2 weeks prior to the start date. If CMA cancels a class that your child is enrolled in, you will have the option to switch classes within the program or receive a full refund. Please sign up early to ensure classes proceed as scheduled.

Summer Art Colony on Governors Island

Ages 8 to 15

Art Colony day camp on Governors Island allows campers to immerse themselves in one and two-week arts courses, while enjoying the great outdoors. Classes are held in two historic houses on Governors Island's Nolan Park.

8:30 - 8:50 AM
DROP OFF: Parents drop off/sign in campers with CMA staff at the Battery Maritime Building.
9- 9:08 AM
Ferry leaves promptly at 9 AM for the island. Ferry ride takes 8 minutes.
9-10 AM
One hour of supervised outdoor play until class begins.
10 AM - 4 PM
CLASS: Art class runs from 10 AM - 4 PM with an hour outdoor lunch break at 12 PM. Campers must bring lunch, water bottles, sunscreen and hats. A refrigerator is available for storing lunch.
4-5 PM
Students will have additional supervised outdoor play after class before riding the 5 PM Ferry back to the Maritime Building.
5-5:08 PM
Campers and staff ride the ferry back to Battery Maritime Building.
5:08 PM
PICK UP: Parents pick up/sign out campers with CMA staff.
