Designed for children under 5 years old, WEE Arts classes develop a young child’s familiarity with art making and encourage experimentation, exploration, and creative thinking. This program is designed to be a multisensory experience that encourages the development of gross and fine motor skills, as well as socialization and self-expression.

Registered Class Fee: $375
CMA offers quarterly registered classes that provide you with a weekly, regular WEE Arts session. These small classes also allow you to get to know other families, fostering a sense of community. Each class is developmentally appropriate for the age indicated. Look for your child’s age below to find the best class for you:
10 Mos. to 2 Yrs. 10 Mos.
Early Birds, 9:15 to 10:30am
Choose from: Monday, Wednesday, Thursday,or Friday
This class explores art materials such as play dough, paint, and chalk, as well as storytelling and music time. Parents and caregivers are encouraged to model parallel learning with their young artists throughout the class. Limited to 14 families. Register
10 mos. to 3.5 Yrs.
After Naps, 4 to 5:15pm
Choose from: Monday or Wednesday
This class explores art materials such as play dough, paint, and chalk, as well as storytelling and music time. Parents and caregivers are encouraged to model parallel learning with their young artists throughout the class. Limited to 14 families. Register
2 Yrs. 10 Mos. to 3.5 Yrs.
WEE Plus, 10 to 11am
Choose from: Wednesday with Annie Moor or Thursday with Katie LaClair
This class takes materials children are now familiar with and creates more challenging workshops within a classroom environment. A great foundation for preschool. Limited to 12 families. Register
3.5 to 5 Years
PhD of WEE, 4 to 5:15pm

This class features some familiar materials from the general WEE Arts program and introduces new materials through projects that require more fine motor skills. Children will also explore layering textures, colors and lines. Limited to 12 families. Register
Drop In Sessions
CMA runs the WEE Arts program as a drop-in option, which allows you to come to any drop-in session without having to preregister. This class explores art materials such as play dough, paint, and chalk, as well as storytelling and music time. Parents and caregivers are encouraged to model parallel learning with their young artists throughout the class. (Note: classes are drop-in, not drop-off, so no need to sign up beforehand but we do require a parent or caregiver to join)

WEE Arts General Hours
Ages 10 mos – 5 Years
The WEE Arts Studio runs age-appropriate programming every day the museum is open as part of general hours. Join us in the WEE Arts space during general hours for projects geared specifically towards the 5 and under crowd. Less structured than the classes, this afternoon time allows for families to explore art materials in an open ended fashion. Teaching Artists will be on hand to help with projects and lead special music times and story times.
