CMA is now offering drop off art parties for ages 7-12!

The Art Party allows up to 15 guests to immerse themselves in a fun and focused art program led by professional Teaching Artists. For party options for more than 15 kids, or for kids under 7, click here.

The Art Party: Mornings/Evenings
Thursday 6:30 - 8:30
Friday 5:30 - 7:30
Saturday 10-noon or 5:30 - 7:30
Sunday 10-noon or 5:30 - 7:30

Includes exclusive use of the entire museum, choice of art project theme, two birthday party artists to lead the art project and to help the host with food. Catered option comes with water, juice, pizza, a personalized birthday cake, paper goods, invitations, and goody bags.

Basic:
$750 (+ Gratuity for Teaching Artist) for 15 children and a maximum of 4 chaperoning adults

Fully Catered:
$995 (+ Gratuity for Teaching Artist) for 15 children and a maximum of 4 chaperoning adults

The Art Party: Afternoons
Saturday 12.30-2.30 or 3-5
Sunday 12.30-2.30 or 3-5

Includes private party room, choice of art project, and two birthday party artists to lead the art project and to help the host with food. Party hosts must provide all food, paper goods, and gift bags.

Basic:
$575 (+ Gratuity for Teaching Artist) for 15 children and a maximum of 4 chaperoning adults

Fully Catered:
$750 (+ Gratuity for Teaching Artist) for 15 children and a maximum of 4 chaperoning adults

Birthday Schedule for this 2-hour
20 mins: Free art time and art themed party games
60 mins: Art project designed especially for the birthday party guests led by two of our experienced teaching artists. (See themes below)
30 mins: Food and Cake
10 mins: Finishing touches and ball pond play time.

Themes:
Below are the possible art themes for your party. The specifics of the project will be determined by the two experienced teaching artists leading your party, but will always fit into the outlines below.  This openness allows for maximum creativity with our ever-changing array of art materials, and each artist’s touch of personal style and expertise.

Painting and Drawing: Party guests will work both on collaborative murals and individual works.  Each guest will take home a painting he or she creates on a canvas board.

Clay Worlds: Party guests will learn clay-sculpting techniques and use colorful non-drying clay to create sets and characters for their own clay world.  Each guest will take home his or her creations.

Textiles: Party guests will learn fabric-dying techniques and create a collaborative weaving for the birthday child.  Guests will also learn printmaking techniques and take home their unique printed design on a tote bag.

Additional Info:

• Reservations are guaranteed only after receipt of signed contract and $100 non-refundable deposit.
  
• Though this is a drop-off party, the host family will be required to stay and chaperone the party.  Between drop off and pick up, the host family will act as the guardian/s of the party guests.  A maximum of 4 chaperoning adults are allowed at the party.
  
• Families with "Friend" or "Community Builder" CMA memberships will receive a 10% discount on the base party price.
