Join CMA Artists in Residence at Little Island during Thursdays in August for artmaking projects inspired by the unique topography of the park!
On Thursday, August 11 from 11 AM to 12 PM, join CMA Artist in Residence Ciana Malchione in The Playground for an exploration of Little Island using rubbings, an ancient form of documentation! Ciana will demonstrate the process of creating rubbings before sending visitors on a scavenger hunt to take rubbings of their own. Visitors will use a printed guidebook and crayon to discover interesting textures and surfaces around the site.
Programs at Children's Museum of the Arts are supported, in part, by public funds from the New York City Department of Cultural Affairs in partnership with the City Council and by the New York State Council on the Arts with the support of the Office of the Governor and the New York State Legislature.
