You bring a blanket, we'll bring the fun! Families of children with autism are invited to spend a free afternoon of fun, entertainment, and connection in the Bronx during Outdoors for Autism presented by IncludeNYC.
Children and families will explore sunlight as a medium as they create galaxy-themed sculptures using clay and reflective objects such as mirrors, buttons, and sequins.
Other activities throughout the day include sports, music, dancing, yoga, and information resources provided by event partners KEEN New York, Music for Autism, Wildlife Conservation Society, Daniel’s Music Foundation, and Extreme Kids and Crew. Refreshments will be provided.
This event focuses on young people with autism ages 18 and under, and their families, but all are welcome.
This free event is made possible by the New York City Council Autism Initiative. Programs at Children's Museum of the Arts are supported, in part, by public funds from the New York City Department of Cultural Affairs in partnership with the City Council and by the New York State Council on the Arts with the support of the Office of the Governor and the New York State Legislature.
