Last night, over 150 guests gathered at David Zwirner's uptown townhouse to celebrate An Utterly Ambitious Evening. Together, we raised $250,000 for CMA’s Emergency Arts Education Fund, providing free arts programs to NYC schools whose arts programs have been decimated by recent budget cuts.

We are deeply indebted to David Zwirner for hosting us at their exceptional 69th Street gallery and for providing our guests with a private tour of the Emma McIntyre exhibition.

It brought us immense pleasure to honor Doro Globus, Associate Publisher of David Zwirner Books and author of Making a Great Exhibition, and philanthropist Cynthia C. Wainwright, who was presented with a Lifetime Achievement Award recognizing her invaluable contribution to arts education over the past three decades.

The award, created by Lucas Spiers [age 9] and artist Alex Alpert [CMA alumnus] serves as a testament to the power of our mission and impact.

The award!

A special shout-out to the students from our three partner schools who created delightful custom booklet covers and to the CMA staffers who presented rarely-seen works by children from the Museum’s permanent collection.

Hats off to BITE New York and The Rounds for their sweet and savory treats, and special thanks to Dobel Tequila, Origins Collection, and Champagne Taittinger for the libations. Roving melodic improvisation was provided by the talented Michaël Valeanu and fun giveaways were provided by Super Smalls.

And lastly, to our guests, who all share a deep commitment to funding arts education in our beloved city – your generosity is astounding and we are thankful for each and every one of you.
