Producer, Special Events
About the Role
The temporary Producer, Special Events will take a crucial role in executing the Children’s Museum of the Arts’ Auction and Gala and Halloween Block Party taking place in October 2023. They will work from September 2023 through November 2023 to support a small and enthusiastic team to carry out these two key events.
Qualifications
2+ years of Special Event and/or event production experience required, with a focus on the arts preferred
Excellent organizational and time management skills
Exceptional written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
Ability to travel within the NYC metropolitan area as required to perform responsibilities
Ability to lift at least 20 lbs
Valid US Driver’s License
High School Diploma or equivalent required
Responsibilities
In collaboration with the Executive Director and Director of External Affairs, assist in the execution of the Children’s Museum of the Arts’ fall event production schedule.
Support with cataloging of online auction assets.
Provide customer support: address inquiries from bidders promptly and professionally.
Responsible for various tasks related to online auctions, including photographing auction items, coordinating shipping, and ensuring smooth operations.
Assist with donor correspondence and manage invitation lists.
Liaise with onsite staff, which may include volunteers, during setup, event, and breakdown.
Support event ticketing and check-in arrivals for all events.
Schedule
Approximately 10-12 hours per week
Reporting
This position reports to the Director of External Affairs.
Salary
$40 per hour
