Gonzalo Miñano Paz (b. 1988) is a Peruvian visual artist based in New York City. Inspired by themes such as gender identity, religion, death, and the figure, Gonzalo's work blends elements from traditional and contemporary art into evocative images on canvas, paper, or screen. His diverse career spans advertising, video production, fashion photography, and photo editing for renowned publications. Gonzalo received his MFA in Integrated Practices from Pratt Institute.

"My art responds to my childhood instinct to create. I grew my love for art in my first stages of life and it made me resilient. Art gave me a tool to look within myself to find answers and places of comfort. In my present practice, I approach serious matters of life with a humorous and childish perspective. Working with children helps me remember the most important aspects of creativity, like approaching subjects with curiosity."
