Children's Museum of the Arts
Seth Cameron was appointed Executive Director of Children's Museum of the Arts in February of 2020, and has since led the organization through the most radical transformation in its 34 year history: committing its future to 100% free arts programming.
A graduate of The Cooper Union School of Art, Cameron first came to prominence in the early aughts for his work with The Bruce High Quality Foundation, an artist collective devoted to challenging the orthodoxies of the art world. From 2009-17 Cameron developed his vision for free progressive arts education while leading the group’s non-profit experimental university, BHQFU, overseeing hundreds of courses, residencies, lecture series, publications & exhibition programs.
He is represented by Nathalie Karg Gallery in New York, Nina Johnson Gallery in Miami, and McClain Gallery in Houston. He lives in Manhattan with his wife, the design curator Alexandra Cunningham Cameron, & their two young artists.
