Featuring both the public and prominent voices from across the city's arts ecosystem, SUMMER SCHOOL: Where Does Arts Education Happen? provides an open framework to discuss innovative ideas for the provision of free, accessible arts education in New York City.
Presented by Children's Museum of the Arts in partnership with Kasmin, this first edition of the SUMMER SCHOOL program explores the role of physical space in this pursuit. Proposing new models for partnerships, as well as thinking around the possibilities enacted by resource- and venue-sharing, hosts will guide the audience participants through a series of prompts to develop a communal vision for sustainable and wide-reaching arts education in the five boroughs.
Refreshments and workbooks will be provided. Families are welcome.

About Kasmin
Kasmin was founded in New York in 1989 and today represents over 40 internationally renowned artists and estates. Placing the work of leading contemporary artists in dialogue with that of historic 20th-century figures, Kasmin's program reveals throughlines between practices that span multiple generations and disciplines.
Kasmin's world-class exhibition program is presented both on-site in New York and in partnership with institutions and leading art fairs internationally. Kasmin’s two primary exhibition spaces remain situated in the heart of the Chelsea Arts District at Tenth Avenue and 27th Street. At 509 West 27th Street, the 3,000-square-foot gallery is lit by skylights and features a rooftop sculpture garden that is visible from the nearby High Line walkway, furthering Kasmin's long history of presenting large-scale sculpture and engaging in public art projects around the world.
More recently, Kasmin has expanded its range of activities to include the provision of arts education in partnership with local organizations; new platforms for sustainability including the adoption of three rooftop beehives; and a renewed engagement with critical discourse expressed through the gallery’s publishing programs, Kasmin Books and The Kasmin Review.
